Live Scan Fees range from $30-$60. Get it done at Fall Festival for free!

If you are interested in becoming an approved school volunteer and you have not live scanned for the Oakland Diocese previously, there will be a no cost to parent Live Scan opportunity scheduled on the morning of the Fall Festival (October 18, 2025).   Signups are now posted on Track It Forward.

If you signup to be live scanned please follow these steps:

STEP ONE: Complete Virtus training which is required every three years. Virtus can be accessed via https://www.virtusonline.org/virtus/ .  If creating a new account for the first time please search for the Oakland Diocese then School of the Madeleine (not, St. Mary Magdalen).  Once you complete Virtus training (apx 1 hour) or retraining if you have an existing account, please email me.  It is very important for you to have a Virtus profile and training complete in order for the Oakland Diocese to post your Live Scan results. 

STEP TWO: Process a Volunteer Live Scan for the Oakland Diocese/School of the Madeleine. Prior to arriving for your Live Scan appointment, please complete the APPLICANT INFORMATION section of the Live Scan form attached in Track It Forward and bring it with you on the day of your appointment.  Additionally, please bring in a valid Driver’s License, Passport or CA id with photo.  Time slots are scheduled in 3 minute increments; therefore, please be a few minutes early in order to check in.

Note, if you have an active Virtus account and have previously Live Scanned the Oakland Diocese, it is not necessary to scan again.
